About us

The Root Development lab focuses on understanding how plant roots grow and branch out to colonize the soil. Some specific areas of research include root development, evo-devo of plant roots, root interactions with soil organisms, soil nitrification and the role of roots in plant adaptation to various environmental stresses. Their work often involves a combination of molecular biology, genetics, imaging techniques and omics approaches to unravel the complex processes underlying root growth and development.

Ultimately, their research aims to enhance our understanding of plant root biology and contribute to the development of more resilient and productive crop plants.
